News paper Bin Liners


In Room 14 we are responsible for collecting the food scraps and making them into compost in the Environmental Education area. We watched this video on Wednesday to get an idea about how to make these bin liners.  On Friday we will have a go at making them.

Newspaper bin liners are great because they reduce our need for plastic bags and they add the essential ingredient of any compost bin - carbon.  This reacts with the nitrogen from the food scraps to make rich compost for our vege garden!

    Hi Room 14 - making newspaper bin liners sounds like a wonderful idea. I will be interested to see how you get on with making them.
